Harry Potter, U.S. Cover
I like this French cover. Got it from the Chronicle Books Blog because Taylor Norman mentioned that she is reading it. If my french is correct, the French title reads, Harry Potter at Wizards School. Maybe french kids prefer books about school to sorcerer's stones? Let me know if you have more info on this and if indeed it is the same story. In our house we have the book with an Irish cover. My daughter is reading Irish and I got it from her book shelf. I have not yet learned Irish and probably never will since saying "good morning" took me about a week to memorize.
It's so interesting to see the different illustration trends as they vary from country to country.
So different! I'm pretty attached to the US version!
ReplyDeleteI have just added the U.S. cover now that you mention it! I agree, it has the most action. I had forgotten how humorous it is, as the later covers for the other books become darker. I do also enjoy the french one.
