Congratulations to all of you Piboidmo winners!
I can't believe it's already December!
I thought I wasn't going to come up with 30 ideas but in the end, ideas beget ideas wh ich is the great thing about them. I'll have to look at them later to see if any are worthy of a book. The process was fun and did get my brain lit up!

All you do is write down a picture book idea every day for a month. Then take the pledge. It's a good way to get ideas flowing.

Painting the Isthmus with art friends

It's fun to have company on landscape painting expeditions and we really had a blast loading up cars with an abundance of paint, finding the right location on Indian Island and merrily painting by the side of the road. We were a peaceful group, but sadly, not all of the art loving insects survived. Otherwise there were no catastrophes.

"Dog SmellPotion Lotion"

The night before last I had an odd dream. I very clearly saw a bottle on a table with a black and white label. This stuff was called "Dog Smell". I was curious about it and almost opened the bottle wondering if it was going to be a nice smell to put on dogs or a disgusting dog smell.  Unfortunately or fortunately, my dream changed or I woke up before I found out. Perhaps it was somehow inspired by watching Super Chicken which my musician friend Tom P. from The Spin Glo's lent me the other day.

The SCBWI Bulletin is in black and white but I did it originally in color, so here are both. I was remembering the Waldorf School lantern festivals that we use to take our daughters to.
